PORTRAIT SESSION WITH DAVID SQUIRE
Shooting portraits is something I've wanted to do more of, and through some local contacts, I was put in touch with a local musician looking to add some imagery to his upcoming EP. We thought the look and feel of shooting on black and white would be sympathetic to the genre of music that David plays, and would be in keeping with the rest of the artwork being drafted for the album.
The weather on the day of the portrait session was cold, and the light was flat. This gave me a few issues with slower shutter speeds, but shooting as wide open as possible meant that it was just about achievable.
The success of any portrait shoot though is not whether I like the images, but whether the client does. Thankfully, David really liked the portraits, and the work will be included in the upcoming EP.
