AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR ROUND 2
Really pleased to have won round 2 of the 2019 Amateur Photographer of the Year Competition!
Round 2 was called Setting the Scene, and a recent image taken along the borders of Oakhill Wood, Milton Keynes, was picked as the winner by the judging panel. The standard in competitions is always exceptionally high, and I never had any expectations, viewing it as a bit of a lottery. I just put in my favourite images and hope that they resonate with the judges on the day.
The Amateur Photographer of the Year competition consists of 8 rounds in total, so there is still a very long way to go yet!

As per usual, I thought I’d put together a small review of the year. I always find it a useful exercise in reflection, helping draw a line under the previous 12 months and to consider what I want to do with the year ahead.
I’m pleased to have had a collection of images from my Ardnamurchan Echoes series published in the Black and White Photography Magazine
In my latest video, I make a short trip to the local lake in the Snow with the aim to print one of the negatives in the Darkroom.

I headed out to a local park with the Holga and some Delta 100 film during a morning of thick fog. It was a calm a relaxing walk, and I hope that comes across in the video and how I've shared the images.
